Prime Minister reacts to Vladimir Putin’s ‘reckless’ nuclear threat
The Prime Minister has condemned threats of nuclear action by the Russian President.
Military chiefs overseeing Russia’s nuclear weapons capability have been put on standby as the state struggles in its invasion of Ukraine.
It comes after US intelligence suggested Ukraine’s resistance has entirely disrupted the timeline initially anticipated by the Russian military.
“It’s a reckless thing to say in these circumstances,” Scott Morrison said of Vladimir Putin’s threats.
“I think the advance in Ukraine has not gone to quite the timetable or plan Russia expected and I think the world’s response has been swift and has been significant.
“There are those autocratic, bullying states and there are liberal democracies who aren’t going to stand for it.”
