Prince Harry’s memoir Spare has been accidentally leaked early, with copies mistakenly hitting bookstore shelves in Spain.

In it, the Duke of Sussex reveals he begged his father, Charles, not to marry Camilla and claims he and his brother were persuaded not to call for an investigation into Princess Diana’s death.

UK Correspondent Adam Gilchrist told Luke Bradnam on 4BC Summer Breakfast revelations about his two tours in Afghanistan are not being received well by his former colleagues.

“The first one, he was a target spotter, the second time, he was piloting and crewing an Apache helicopter with British forces in Afghanistan,” Adam said.

“He said that whilst there, he killed 25 members of the Taliban. He says he’s not proud of it, but also, he doesn’t regret it.

“There have been one or two veterans inevitably dug up by tabloid newspapers who are suggesting that you don’t go around talking about that stuff, that’s the thing.”
