Queensland casinos run by Star Entertainment could be forced to go cashless under recommendations to be put forward today.

The state’s report into the embattled gambling giant is expected to echo findings of a damning inquiry in NSW that found the company was unsuitable to hold a casino licence.

“We are expecting maybe around 12 recommendations to be made,” Today reporter Mia Glover told Laurel, Gary & Mark.

“One of them, this is the big one, it could be that Queensland casinos that are run by the Star Entertainment group go cashless.

“Instead, they’d have to use their card, and that particular card would have to be linked to their ID.”
