QLD election: The biggest question of 2023 ahead of an election year
Neil Breen says it’s time for the Premier to show Queenslanders how much she wants to stay in the top job.
He says it’s also time she gets moving on 2023 Olympic planning, as well as a Cabinet reshuffle.
Queenslanders will head to the polls in October 2024.
9 News senior reporter Tim Arvier says it will be an important year for both the Opposition Leader and Premier.
“The proxy election campaign will start mid this year, and there’s some big questions for the leaders, Annastacia Palaszczuk and David Crisafulli, as well,” he said.
“Annastacia Palaszczuk; one of the big questions will she continue on?
“Steven Miles has had an extended taste of filling in on the top job and will no doubt be keen to continue on.”
He said it was “probably the biggest question this year” despite many in the party believing she will continue on as Premier.
The government will also be turning up the pressure on David Crisafulli, who will face his biggest and most challenging year, he said.
