Queensland Agriculture Minister Mark Furner has apologised after an alleged sledge towards a female Opposition MP.

In state parliament last night, he’s alleged to have said remarks the Opposition has described as “deeply offensive and misogynistic”, directed towards a female Opposition MP.

Mark Furner allegedly directed the words “what a dopey stupid woman you are” to Shadow Health Minister Ros Bates in state parliament.

He has since withdrawn his comments and apologised unreservedly.

There has just been a misogynistic slur against a female LNP MP from a male Palaszczuk Minister in Parliament.

I clearly heard it and it is unacceptable.

What standard is the Premier prepared to accept?

It’s understood  Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk will also speak with the Minister.
