Today, the Queensland Police and the Queensland Government joined forces in attempts to tackle the state’s growing youth crime problem.

The Queensland Police and Youth Justice department have convened a two-day Youth Co-Responder Team Forum to generate fresh strategies for effective crime management.

Acting Assistant Commissioner of Queensland Police, George Marchesini, told Peter Gleeson on Drive, “…I think what’s important when we talk about a forum, it’s more than just people coming together to have a discussion or a talk…”

“…It’s really going to the heart of the issue and looking at what’s working, looking at what we can improve, and looking at how we can actually start to turn this around and look at preventing kids from getting further into this system.”
