Queensland Premier returns Crisafulli’s serve on Olympic spending
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk joined Peter Fegan on Brisbane Live to respond to criticism on Olympics spending.
The Premier told Peter Fegan that “it’s about time that the Opposition stop whinging and got on board and started being supportive”.
This was prompted by Opposition leader David Crisafulli’s harsh comments on Brisbane Live yesterday about how the government have led us to have $10 million in blowouts for Olympics infrastructure.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk also saidĀ that the Olympics will “set Brisbane and Queensland up for the future” and that the Cross River Rail will “change the way people get across our city, it’ll benefit everybody”.
During the wide-ranging interview, Premier Palaszczuk also covered off on:
- Mobile phones in schools,
- The recent spate of dog attacks, and
- Getting your flu vaccine this flu season.
