In Queensland, 148 Officers have died while serving since 1861.
Hundreds marched through Brisbane this morning before a service botanic gardens to pay tribute.
“Today is a special day where we can honour and remember those who have lost their lives on duty, and also take some time out to remember them with their families that are also coming to these special events,” Assistant Commissioner Debbie Platz said on Brisbane Live.
