Roald Dahl books reworked to remove offensive language
Books written by Roald Dahl are being rewritten to remove language now deemed offensive by their publisher.
Words like “fat” and “ugly” have been culled in UK editions following a language review conducted by sensitivity readers for Puffin.
The Roald Dahl Story Company has assured the changes were “small and carefully considered”.
