Politicians, business people and journalists are among the 121 Australians now banned from entering Russia.

The nation has sanctioned the group, which includes the SA Premier Peter Malinauskas and mining magnate Andrew Forrest, for what it calls a ‘Russophobic agenda’.

Among a raft of journalists also on the list is Nine News reporter Carrie-Anne Greenbank, ABC chair Ita Buttrose and Sky opinion presenter Andrew Bolt.

Russia made a similar move against a group of British nationals on Tuesday.

All 227 members of the House of Representatives and the Senate were banned in early April.
