Scott Morrison says Independents are ‘like Forest Gump’s box of chocolates’
The Prime Minister says Independents must declare who they’ll support in the event of a hung parliament.
Latest polling suggests Saturday’s election will be close, with the possibility neither the Coalition or Labor will be able to form a majority government.
It brings back memories of the nightmare that followed the 2010 drawn election where Tony Windsor and Rob Oakeshott crowned Julia Gilliard PM.
A number of high-profile independents are contesting and could win key seats, including Zali Steggall in Warringah, Kerryn Phelps in Wentworth and Mr Oakeshott in Cowper.
Scott Morrison tells Ray Hadley voters deserve to know where they stand.
“I want people in their communities to know now, not so much for me, but for them. I think they should have it clear.
“It’s like Forest Gump’s box of chocolates. You never know what you’re going to get with these guys.
“It could be anything.”
