Scrabble announces its politically-driven word of the year
The genderneutral pronoun ‘Ze’ will make it’s way into the new Scrabble dictionary come May, as it’s named the board game’s word of the year.
‘Ze’ can be used as an alternative to ‘He’ or ‘She’ when a person chooses not to identify with a particular gender.
“What? Is this serious?” says Luke Grant.
Wordsmith Kel Richards says it’ll be welcomed by avid Scrabble players.
“It’s useful because Z is worth 10 points, so it’s a two-letter word worth 11 points!”
