Shonky plumbers demand apology or they’ll sue… Ray responds

Article image for Shonky plumbers demand apology or they’ll sue… Ray responds

Since exposing Plumbing Detectives for ripping off an elderly woman, Ray Hadley has received a torrent of complaints from listeners.

Customers, fellow plumbers and even employees within the company have contacted Ray about the company’s dodgy practices.

As a result, Police Commissioner Mick Fuller and Minister for Better Regulation Matt Kean have become involved.

Mr Kean updates Ray on investigations into the shonky business, saying his office has now been inundated with a “litany of additional case studies”.

“I’ve directed Fair Trading to launch a full investigation into the behaviour that’s going on.

“I want to make sure we follow the proper process so we can protect consumers in NSW and make sure shonky outfits aren’t taking consumers for a ride.”
