A popular restaurant and bar in Noosa says they are among a number of businesses hit hard by the critical worker shortage.

Businesses along busy Hastings Street are having to close at reduced hours due to worker shortages.

The manager of the Aromas Restaurant and Bar in Noosa, Sabina Franz, said many were impacted.

“We only serve breakfast and lunch seven days a week,” she told Neil Breen on Brisbane Live.

“And we even have to stop serving coffee reasonably early in the day, because we don’t have enough staff.”

They can only open 2 nights a week, rather than 7.

Neil said he “can’t believe it”.

Pre-pandemic, they had 70 staff, and now, only 47.
