Newly appointed Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle has stepped out with the Queen this week, on her first royal engagement without husband Prince Harry.

The pair married in mid-May and the Duchess is embracing her new role within the royal family.

Smithy’s All-Star Prue MacSween is yet to meet 36-year-old Meghan but she has rubbed shoulders with some prominent members of Britain’s royal family.

“I’ve met a lot of Queens in my time,” Prue tells Chris Smith.

“I actually also met Prince Charles and the then Lady Diana. I’ve had them all.”

When it comes to greeting royalty, Prue admits her courtesy wasn’t as graceful as she’d hoped.

“Pretty terrible with the old stilettos, I think I need an electronic lift to haul me up.”
