There’s been a break from the rain overnight but forecasters are warning there’s more to come.

The wild weather has already claimed the life of a 63-year-old woman whose car was found submerged in floodwaters on the Sunshine Coast.

Weatherman Justin Noonan told Neil Breen we could still see flooding in the coming days.

“We’re just once again having a little bit of a lull across the south-east,” he said.

“This should really thicken up late this afternoon and overnight.

“We’re still expecting some very heavy rainfall totals to develop with significant flash flooding possible and riverine flooding.”
