Stanford University has published a list of language it wants to eliminate because the terms are ‘harmful’. 

The university revealed the plan in May and wants to remove the words from its IT systems and websites.

‘American’, ‘grandfather’, and ‘brave’ are among words that have made the list.

“Language is constantly changing,” language expert Sue-Belinda Meehan told Greg Cary on 4BC Summer Afternoons.
