A Mount Warren Park resident claims his insurance renewal has skyrocketed by more than six times since the floods.

Keith told Neil Breen in an email while his house didn’t flood when Brisbane went underwater, his insurance renewal has increased.

It’s gone from $1200 to $7500 a year after the floods,” Keith wrote.

“I couldn’t believe it,” Neil Breen said. “I cannot believe that that is sustainable across those parts of the community.

“This is a conversation that Queensland has to have.”
