The ‘good news’ for Australia’s winter energy crisis

New data out today shows the steep increase in the wholesale prices of electricity in winter.
The average Queensland customer was paying $323 per megawatt-hour.
Australian Energy Council chief executive Sarah McNamara says there is sustained upward pressure on prices across the board both in the wholesale market and at the retail end.
“The good news is we have been able to move through what we believe is the worst of it, and we are hoping and working to make sure supply isn’t an issue for the remainder of the winter,” she told Neil Breen on Brisbane Live.
