Nestle attributed the declining sales and aging machinery as the reasons for discontinuing Fantales, but there might still be hope for the public.

It is expected that Fantales will be stopping production between mid and late July.

Sam Major, manager of Tom Confectionary Warehouse in Nudgee, told Peter Gleeson on 4BC Drive, “We want to bring something similar back if we can, and we are going to do that as soon as we can for the public, to bring back this icon.”
