The Invictus Games legacy will live on in Australia
The Invictus Games legacy will live on in Australia, with the establishment of a dedicated veterans sporting program.
Veteran Sport Australia will be driven by RSL Australia and its New South Wales branch.
Its first task will be to support athletes after Sydney’s Invictus Games finish on Saturday night.
Invictus CEO Patrick Kidd tells Alan Jones the Games have exceeded all expectations, and there’s still two more days of sporting action to come.
“We’ve already seen absolutely what we hoped we would do.
“Brilliant sport, great competition and of course these amazing people coming together in a network which I think is really powerful.”
