The McClymonts’ hilarious reaction to Ray Hadley’s old look
Country music stars The McClymonts were treated to a hilarious blast from the past when they joined Ray Hadley in-studio.
Ray has been a long-time supporter of sisters Brooke, Samantha and Mollie McClymont, who are one of Australia’s greatest country music acts.
But when the girls tell Ray they’d like to perform a cover of The Bellamy Brothers’ 1976 hit Let Your Love Flow, it brought about some unexpected reminiscing.
“I was 22,” says Ray. “I was in my prime, girls. I had a moustache a bit like… not like Burt Reynolds, like another bloke that I won’t mention but the boys called it a pornstar moustache.
“And yes, there would’ve been the odd occasion when I would’ve gone to Rooty Hill RSL and danced to this particular song. Ladies, take me back please!”
But things took quite a turn when Ray’s team decided to show the girls a photo of his 1985 look…
