The promise Dayne Zorko isn’t making ahead of preliminary final
Brisbane is coming off arguably its best performance under Chris Fagan but captain Dayne Zorko isn’t getting ahead of himself.
The Lions will be the underdogs when they go up against the Cats for the first preliminary final at the MCG tomorrow night.
The stats aren’t all in Geelong’s favour, with tomorrow night’s game just the second in 27 days.
The Cats have won just one of four preliminary finals when there’s been a pre-finals bye.
But Zorko says it’s still shaping up to be a scrappy fight.
Mark Hine: “Alright, can you promise us one thing right now, that you won’t give us a heart attack like you did last week.”
Gary Clare: “Oh, every game!”
Mark Hine: “And the Richmond game – just don’t do that anymore!”
Dayne Zorko: “Well look, you’ve got to understand this is the finals.
“I mean, anything’s possible in this series and you’re not just going to come out there and win a game convincingly and comfortably.
“It just doesn’t happen.”
