The unexpected place named Queensland’s ‘most liveable’ small town
A locality in the south-east has been named Queensland’s ‘most liveable’ town.
Using 2021 Census data, demographer Bernard Salt looked at 752 small towns across the country and found Tamborine Mountain came out on top in the Sunshine State.
Education and low unemployment rates were factors that saw the town take the title, but Laurel thinks there’s another factor Mr Salt didn’t consider.
“It’s just the most picturesque place on the planet!”
