Rugby League legend Paul Vautin says he’s stunned by the amount of players dropped by New South Wales ahead of Origin II.

Blues coach Brad Fittler has made seven changes ahead of Sunday nights clash in Perth.

Reagan Campbell-Gillard, Tariq Sims, Jacob Saifiti, Tyson Frizzell, Kotoni Staggs and Jack Wighton were all omitted from the squad.

“You look at New South Wales and wow, they’ve taken a machine-gun to the joint,” Vautin said on Wide World of Sports.

“Like Kotoni Staggs had a really good start to the year … he’s lasted one game and gone-ski.”
