Byron Bay’s iconic Bluesfest is slated to return in April 2022 after being cancelled two years in a row, and featuring singer Missy Higgins is delighted.

Missy Higgins told Deborah Knight her fellow artists on the “incredible” lineup include Midnight Oil, Paul Kelly and Jimmy Barnes, with more to be announced.

“It’s always so beautiful for me to get away from cold Melbourne, and be up there amongst the tropics.

“There’s just a vibe to the Bluesfest … a lot of the time it’s kind of muddy, and everyone’s getting in the muddy mosh pit together!

“It just feels like one of those really magical festivals.”
