Thousands without power, traffic chaos as storms lash Brisbane
Storms have wreaked havoc across Brisbane this afternoon with thousands still without power and traffic chaos on the roads.
Earlier, all planes were grounded at Brisbane Airport, but flights have since resumed as the storm cells have passed.
There are now over 7000 homes and businesses without power.
Around 60mm of rain was recorded.
There have been reports of large hail across the south-east.

4BC journalist Matt Hepworth was earlier stuck in Adelaide, on a Jetstar flight trying to get back to Brisbane.
The plane was delayed due to the storms.
“We are currently waiting sitting on the plane at the moment as a bit of a watch and wait,” he told Neil Breen.
