Tragic end to search for missing mother, son in custody
There has been a tragic end to the search for Gold Coast woman Wendy Sleeman reported missing on the Gold Coast.
A body was found around 5.30pm yesterday in Brisbane, inside the blue Honda Jazz officers had been looking for as part of their search that spanned the Gold Coast, Logan and Brisbane.
While the body is yet to be formally identified, police believe it is that of the 61-year-old Elanora woman.
“They say it was electronic evidence which led them to this unit complex, where I am right now in Windsor, and they found a blue Honda Jazz,” senior 9News reporter Tim Arvier told Laurel, Gary & Mark.
“What they allege is that her 30-year-old son, Slade Murdok, rented this garage under a fake name and that he drove her here and acted alone.”
