Travel delays as thick blanket of fog smothers Brisbane
Travel across Brisbane has been thrown into disarray this morning as thick fog blankets the city.
Brisbane Airport has experienced minor delays after the fog moved in around 6.30am, impacting ground operations on the tarmac.
Gary from Kippa Ring told Laurel, Gary & Mark he’d been watching a flight from Singapore, which was due to land at 6.55am, doing laps above Moreton Bay.
“[It] came in over an hour ago and it’s done at least 15 circuits over Moreton Bay,” he said.
“So I’d say there’s restricted visual ranging at the airport.”

The Bureau of Meteorology reported the fog was so widespread, it was visible from space!
The widespread fog over #SEQ is seen clearly from space. It's expected to lift by late morning. Other parts of the state are also experiencing a foggy morning. The day will be warm with partly cloudy skies. https://t.co/l3kCoJ1bPD pic.twitter.com/uw3JlKSBsU
