Trent Barrett quits Bulldogs after sloppy loss to Knights
Trent Barrett has reportedly quit his position as coach of the Bulldogs after Friday’s woeful loss to the Knights.
The team didn’t make a single line break and made just 13 tackle breaks in the clash against one of the worst defences in the league.
Nine News sport journalist Danny Weilder this morning reports the embattled Barrett made the decision last night to step down as coach.
The report comes just hours after the team cancelled scheduled opportunities for the media to speak with players and photograph today’s training session.

Players have reportedly been informed of the decision and training has been called off for today and Tuesday, with the club expecting to secure a new coach by Wednesday.
Ray Hadley says while the resignation happened earlier than expected, it likely comes off the back of a financial arrangement struck with the club.
