Sky News has revealed the warrant relates to the death of Mr Wright’s co-star in Outback Wrangler and Wild Croc Territory, Chris “Willow” Wilson.
Mr Wilson died on February 28 when the helicopter he was travelling in crashed in a remote area of West Arnhem Land.
The pilot, Sebastian Robinson, suffered serious spinal injuries in the crash.
It is understood Mr Wright’s actions before and after the crash were being investigated by police.
He was one of four people who flew to the scene in another helicopter following the crash, two of whom have already been charged with various offences in relation to the matter.
Police will allege Mr Wright tampered with evidence at the crash site and attempted to have Mr Robinson falsify records.
He is expected to be charged with several offences, including perverting the course of justice, destruction of evidence, fabricating evidence, interfering with witnesses and two counts of unlawful entry.
