US Congressman ‘makes a lot of sense’ on renewable energy policies
An Republican politician’s comments at the US Natural Resources Committee have caught Ray Hadley’s attention.
Congressman Tom McClintock suggested that liberal policies on renewable energy are flawed.
“On the one hand, you want to mandate not only electric cars, but industrial-scale back-up batteries for wind and solar farms, all in the name of saving the planet,” he said.
“Yet, on the other hand, you want to radically restrict mining, also in the name of saving the planet. But you can’t do both.”
Ray said it’s a strong argument against policies that rush a shift to renewable energy.
“This is not about denying climate change,” he said.
“It’s just about whether, in 2023, we’re ready for all the drastic changes that some people, particularly those from the far left, want to make to our lives without being in a position to actually replace traditional power with renewable power.
“We’re not in that position at the moment; we’re not there.”
