‘Very powerful’: Victims of Toowoomba crime wave voice their stories during forum

Toowoomba locals have fired up in an emotionally charged youth crime forum last night, detailing their own experiences and safety fears.
At one point during the meeting, Police Minister Mark Ryan was mocked and booed while talking about offenders on bail.
Jo Noble, the co-creator of a local Facebook page on crime, said there were a lot of important discussions.
“Things did a get a little heated, the community was respectful but emotions were high of course,” she told Sofie Formica.
At one point, attendees were asked to stand if they had been a victim of youth crime.
“I think at least 95 per cent of the audience rose, there were a lot of victims in that room last night, very powerful stories that were heard.”
She said the community isn’t seeing enough action on the ground from the government.
