Brisbane residents are being asked to hold off on making donations to Vinnies stores amid a volunteer shortage.

It’s understood around a quarter of volunteers are isolating due to the current Omicron outbreak.

Vinnies is asking locals to consider storing their donations for the next two weeks to help stores catch up.

“While we are still accepting donations to our Vinnies Shops, we encourage donors to hold on to their donations until 21 January 2022 to allow additional time for our teams to sort the existing donations,” a statement on the Vinnies website reads.
