Voice for Victims urges greater collaboration with state government

Following their first meeting with government officials, the Voice for Victims group believe that the state government has not adequately addressed their concerns.

The Voice for Victims group met with the state government officials and are looking to set up another meeting to create a better framework to address Queensland’s youth crime crisis.

Voice for Victims leader, Ben Cannon, told Peter Gleeson on Drive, “They [government] continually say we’re being listened to, I’ve got to say there hasn’t been a whole lot of engagement from us about how this framework would look…”

“…We want to actually play a part in this, we want to be involved, we want to be heard, up to this point I don’t think we’ve been heard we’ve just potentially been listened to,” Mr. Cannon continued.
