Brisbane jewellery kingpin Wallace Bishop has died peacefully at his home, aged 88.

Named after his grandfather and company founder, Wallace took the helm of the family business in 1976 and helped turn it into one of the largest in the country.

He was the third generation of Brisbane-based jewellers and built the company up to include stores across the country.

“What a wonderful life lived,” Neil said.
