An Uber passenger was unfairly charged for something over the weekend, causing concern for how many others fell victim to the error.

The William Jolly Bridge was closed for maintenance from 11pm Friday to 5am Monday.

Brisbane City Council waived fees for all motorists using the Go Between Bridge during that time, and Uber passengers were told they wouldn’t be charged for using the bridge.

However, Brisbane resident Justin Nicholas had a different experience; he joined Neil Breen on Brisbane Live to explain.
