A 60 Minutes reporter has revealed what surprised him during his one-on-one interview with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Tom Steinfort travelled to Kyiv to interview President Zelensky from his secret, fortified bunker.

He says to travel to war-torn Kyiv, it took about 58 hours, describing the “horror show” to get to the capital city.

“It was almost like something out of a movie, we got told get the keys and when we are ready we will send you the latitude and longitude of where to go,” he told Scott Emerson.

He says he was taken aback by how fond President Zelensky is of Australia, even sharing a story of when he travelled there, before the cameras started rolling.
