Memory expert and walking encyclopedia Max Hitchens chatted to Chris Smith about some of the more fascinating aspects of Australia’s political history.

He reveals some pretty interesting facts, like how our shortest-serving PM was only in office for eight days.

Perhaps the most surprising of all was the fact that Australia had seven prime ministers during the Second World War.

“We think this last period of time since 2007 has been a very disruptive time, but imagine that number of prime ministers during a war!”
