There will be some relief from the hot weather later this week but summer is set to hang around a little longer.

Maximum temperatures are expected to dip below the 30s in coming days but long-range forecaster Ken Kato says it’ll be short-lived.

“Unfortunately, as we get closer into the middle of next week, the maximum temperatures look set to rise again,” he told Laurel, Gary & Mark.

Mark Hine: “Are we going to ever get over this warm weather? It seems like every day is still in the 30s!”

Ken Kato: “I know, it’s so incessant, isn’t it?”
