A suburb in Brisbane’s south-east is experiencing an unexpected boom.

Carina is just 7km from the city’s CBD and has recently seen an influx of residents.

Business in the area is booming, so what’s all the fuss about?

Real Estate Agent Jose Peralta tells Chris Smith the growth comes down to a number of factors.

“I think geographically, it’s extremely well situated.

“You’ve got two suburbs that have been performing pretty well over the last 20 years and that’s Cannon Hill.. and then Carindale.

“It just makes sense that the suburb sitting in the middle was always going to perform well.”

Jose says the suburb’s growth has also been spurred on by the development of townhouses and apartments.
