Two teens charged with murder over death of North Lakes mother
A Queensland family have been left shattered and traumatised after the stabbing death of a mother following an alleged home invasion.
Emma Lovell, 41, and her 43-year-old husband disturbed two people inside their North Lakes home around 11.30pm last night.
It will be alleged a scuffle broke out inside the house, and spilled out to the front porch.
It’s alleged the Queensland mother was stabbed, and died at the scene.
A short time ago, police say two 17-year-old teens, one from Holland Park and the other Zillmere, have both been charged with one count each of murder, attempted murder and enter dwelling with intent in company.
Superintendent John Hallam said officers were confronted with an horrific scene.
“Through some very investigative skills demonstrated by the detectives they managed to locate four persons who were taken into custody,” he said, addressing the media this afternoon.
Emma and her husband were woken by the sound of barking dogs.
He said there was no known link between the home owners and the alleged offenders.
